Company Profile
Metrology Instrument Services was founded in 1992 to provide first class independent support for surface texture and roundness measuring instruments. The company has grown steadily ever since, and now offers a far wider range of services to a growing list of customers world wide - including many household names in the aerospace and automotive industries. The export side of the company's business is also growing fast, and we now have authorised agents in several countries both in the European Union and the rest of the world.
Metrology Instrument Services supply and install new instruments and also offer repair and maintenance services for a wide range of instruments, and has a large stock of spares to support this. Routine maintenance is carried out at regular intervals and field performance checks are made to our own traceable standards. All our repair work is offered on a 'no fix - no fee' basis, but none of our customers have ever found the need to invoke this. We recognize the vital importance of prompt attention when instruments break down, and in emergency, we carry out essential repairs out of normal working hours and at weekends.
Working from a well equipped workshop and laboratory in North West Leicestershire, the company design and manufacture their own hardware and software for bespoke measuring systems, and have also developed an excellent range of upgrades for existing measuring instruments. All our products are designed with an understanding of the actual 'hands on' requirements for practical industrial measurements, and both speed and ease of use have always been primary concerns.
